How auto-marking works

Answer a question

Open a practice question in Revision Time and write your answer in the response box.

Submit for marking

Click the Submit for marking button. The AI reviews your answer against the question criteria.

Receive your grade and feedback

Your score and a written explanation appear immediately. You can see exactly which parts of your answer were correct and which need improvement.

Each auto-marking submission returns:

Credit usage

Every auto-marking submission uses 1 credit from your daily allowance. Credits reset each day, so you can continue marking answers the following day. For a full breakdown of how credits work and how many you receive on each plan, see Understanding Revision Time credits.
Auto-marking uses AI — results are highly accurate but always review the feedback yourself.
Free accounts have a limited daily credit allowance. If you need more marking capacity, consider upgrading your plan for a higher daily limit or unlimited credits. See plans and billing for details.
