This Privacy Policy applies to all Revision Time websites and services, including revision-time.com and all subdomains such as app.revision-time.com. Your data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you have any questions about this policy, contact contact@revision-time.com.

Data collection and use

Data you provide:
  • Email address
  • Username
  • Password (stored encrypted — see the Security page)
Automatically collected:
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname and IP address
  • Time of request
This data is used for site functionality, security monitoring, and analytics.
You have the right to:
  • Request information about what personal data Revision Time holds about you
  • Ask for your data to be corrected, blocked, or deleted
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@revision-time.com. You may also file a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been handled incorrectly.

Payments

Payment data is processed by Stripe. Revision Time does not store your card details directly. All payment connections use SSL/TLS encryption. You can read Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

User-generated content

Community questions you submit are visible to other users once they have been approved by a Revision Time admin. Do not include any personally identifiable information (PII) in the questions you write. If you attach images, be aware that photos taken on a mobile device may contain EXIF GPS data — use an image editor to strip this metadata before uploading if you are concerned.

AI features

Revision Time uses OpenAI’s large language model (LLM) to mark written answers. When you submit an answer for AI marking, the answer text is sent to OpenAI — no personally identifiable information is included in that request.If you do not want your answer data sent to OpenAI, do not use AI-enabled features. These features are clearly labelled throughout the app.

Children’s privacy

The minimum age to use Revision Time is 13. Revision Time does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered an account, contact contact@revision-time.com and the account will be removed promptly.

Cookies

See the full Cookie Policy for a detailed breakdown. In summary:
  • Session cookies: Essential for keeping you logged in. Cannot be disabled without losing login functionality.
  • Google Analytics: Used on the landing page only — not in the app. IP addresses are anonymised.
  • Stripe: Used during payment processing.
  • Umami Analytics: Used in the app to collect anonymous usage statistics. No personal data is stored or shared.

Data storage and retention

All data is hosted on AWS servers located in London, UK.Your email address is used for account verification and security notifications only. It is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.Your account data is retained while your account is active. If you request account deletion, your data will be removed, subject to any legal or financial retention requirements that may apply.
