Community questions are revision questions written by students like you, covering a wide range of subjects and topics. You can use them to practise and identify gaps in your knowledge — and if you write your own questions and submit them, you earn bonus credits every time another student answers them.

Answering questions

Browse questions by subject and topic to find what you’re working on. Answer questions directly in the app, and use your topic progress view to see where you’re strong and where you need more practice. For written or extended-answer questions, you can submit your response for AI marking. AI marking gives you instant feedback on your answer and is clearly labelled on pages that support it. Each AI marking submission uses credits from your balance — see AI marking for details.

Contributing questions

Writing and submitting your own questions is one of the best ways to deepen your understanding — and to keep your credit balance topped up.
Contributing questions is a great way to earn free credits. Every time another student answers one of your questions, you receive bonus credits automatically.
To submit a question:
  1. Go to Community Questions in the app and select Contribute.
  2. Write your question and provide a model answer or mark scheme.
  3. Submit it for moderation — all submissions are reviewed by Revision Time admins before they go live.
  4. Once approved, your question appears in the question bank and is credited to your username.

What happens after you submit

  • Admins review every submission. Questions that pass moderation are added to the question bank and attributed to your username.
  • Questions that contain offensive content or copyrighted exam board materials are rejected. You’ll be notified if your question is not approved.
  • You retain ownership of your content. By submitting, you grant Revision Time a non-exclusive licence to display your question on the platform. Your username is always shown as credit.

Deleting your questions

You can delete any question you’ve contributed at any time from the Settings page.
Deleted questions are removed immediately and permanently. This action cannot be undone and the question cannot be recovered.

Moderation and content rules

Every question submitted to the community question bank is reviewed by a Revision Time admin before it is published. Content that is offensive, inappropriate, or that reproduces copyrighted exam board materials (such as past paper questions) is rejected or removed. When contributing questions, make sure your content is:
  • Original — not copied from official exam board past papers or mark schemes
  • Appropriate — free from offensive or discriminatory language
  • Clear — written so that other students can understand and answer it
